The CheekTones are a Prescott band playing a spirited mix of rock standards and lesser-known covers, with a healthy portion of originals. The ‘Tones defy categories, stirring up tasty versions of tunes across the spectrum, from The Beatles to the Jackson Five, from Tom Petty to Bob Dylan, from Sly Stone to the Rolling Stones. And their originals are a blend of blues, folk, Americana, rock ‘n roll and good-time jams, with irresistible grooves and sharp lyrics. In 2015 they released their sophomore CD, Second Chance At A First Impression, an eclectic set of songs written by Don Cheek offering an earful of grooves and lyrics that move your mind, your heart—and your feet.
