The CheekTones new record is done! Actually, it's in production, which means the elves will be working overtime, burnin' CDs and folding the jackets and stuffing the discs in 'em. And they'll deliver 1000 of 'em here on Feb 5. It's called Second Chance At A First Impression and it's got 8 songs, and guest musicians Gary Regina, Anton Teschner, Claude Lopez, and Jane Cheek. Stay tuned for news of the CD release party, Feb 6 and 7 at Brick and Bones!
Have you ever wondered? The Cheektones currently have 74 songs in rotation, and 15 of them are originals. We play 7 by the Stones, 7 - Dylan, 5 - John Hiatt, 3 - Bob Schneider, 3 - Beatles, 2-Steve Miller, 3-Grateful Dead, 4-The Band, 1- Delbert McClinton, 1-Paul Simon, 1-Winery Dogs, 1-Dr. John, and 2 of Jerry Riopelle's. We play about 25 songs in a regular 4-hr night, with only one or two "slow songs". We don't play Mustang Sally. But we can make you think we did...come to a show and find out how!
That's Drew Hall there on the left, lead guitar and vocals. He officially joined the band in Sept 2012, our fourth lead guitarist since the band started in 2007. Very tasty guitar player.
